DUKE CITY SCOOTER CLUB’S SCOOTER SCAVENGER HUNT AND BAR-B-QUE
OPEN RIDE DETAILS:
Date: Sunday, September 20th, 2009
Meet Time: 1pm, with roll out at 1:30pm.NOTE TIME CHANGE!
Meet Location: Bataan Park (Lomas & Tulane NE, Albuquerque, NM)
Destination: City-wide scavenger hunt
Total Ride Distance: Variable - you’ll be riding all over the great Duke City for the scavenger hunt.
This is an open ride!!!!
Anyone with any street legal scooter 49.5cc and up is invited to participate in the D.C.S.C. Scavenger Hunt. You need not be a member of the D.C.S.C. to ride the scavenger hunt or hang out at the after bar-be-que.
We will meet at Bataan Park, which is located near the UNM campus on Lomas Blvd, just one block west of Carlisle. Riders We'll divide into teams based on how many people show up for the 2 1/2 hours of scooterized scavenger hunt. You’ll be required to collect some random items as well as pictures, so you will need to bring your camera phone or digital camera.
There will be prizes!!!!
The city-wide scavenger hunt ends at 4pm at Troy and Diane’s house in the South Valley, just off Central Ave where the grill will be fired up. A variety of foods and beverages will be provided, but it never hurts to bring some of your own drinks. The bar-be-que ends after the food and beverages are gone or after Troy and Diane decide to kick everyone out. Directions to the bar-be-que will be given out at the meet location at Bataan Park.
REQUIRED ITEMS:
- You
- Your scoot
- Backpack or available under seat storage
- A camera or phone with camera ability - to verify objects
Scooters of any make, model or age, be they vintage rides or modern twist-n-go’s (Vespa, Piaggio, Cushman, Honda, Yamaha, Stella, Lambretta, PGO, Genuine, KYMCO, Bajaj, SYM, Suzuki, Tomos, etc…) mopeds and motorcyclists cool enough to ride with scooters are welcome on the ride and to the bar-be-que.
