Hey guys, just joined your board, wanted to invite you to ride with us. Unfortunately not all of us. Most of us are going to a rally in Arizona but since Richard has been at a couple of our rides I thought I'd make sure and let you know that anyone can ride with us... I am going to have the ride on Saturday because Sunday is recovery day for some of the people riding with us who are going to an after Birthday party for two or three other friends.
Details: Meeting at 10am at frontier, leaving at 11am or 12, depending on who is done eating breakfast. Then we are riding across town maybe stopping for a drink then coming back and splitting up back at central so the Birthday peoples can prepare for their thing. Anyone else will probably go to either Two Fools or Geckos. The more the merrier. (Our rides are every thrid sunday so go to out board if you want double the rides) and maybe the Duke City people and the Pharaohs people can get together and organize.
We also have rally info on our board if you want to find out when other scooterist around the nation (Scarabs, Pharaohs, Hard Packs, etc, etc as well as non-affiliates) get together for camping, riding, drinking and other shenanigans.
See ya, Uncle Fester

If my scoot is up and running, I will be going. My variator broke on Sunday. It looked like an extremely crappy part that was used (missing bushings leading to excessive wear with my recently installed kit).

Thanks.... anyway, since most of the Pharaohs are either going to Mummy Mayhem in Globe, AZ or busy with other stuff, I am getting as many of us to go meet at Frontier on Saturday at 10 as possible and we will just figure something out. Either ride across town, go to a museum, or post apocalypic structure in wasteland.... plus if you dress as a zombie we can take pictures of zombies in the wasteland attacking scooterists... IF! anyway, Two rides in one weekend, how can you beat that? (if I had money I could go to that rally and that would beat that) I digress... Also to all of you that want to go to a real scooter rally, the Pharaohs hold Camp Scoot every year in the Jemez in August.... $30 pays for 3 days of camping, food, beer, rally packs, gymkhana games and we have a drawing for prizes, one dollar per ticket. No limit to tickets and the more you buy the better chance you have to win, $50 is good enough to get more than one prize and each prize is usually worth more than $100. I got free Doc Martens one year... of course we all did because we had enough for each rally pack. anyway... too much written here, just wanted you all to know you are all welcome to hang with us anytime.

See you on Saturday morning! Also I'm planning on hitting up Camp Scoot 2009 and I'm also tentatively planning on brewing up 5-15 gallons of my beer for it. 5 Gallons go straight to Sweet Pea for helping me out RIDE HAPPY! Richard

What is the speed limit up to Jemez? I'll go anywhere with a 45mph (maaaybe 50) or under limit (any more and I'm roadkill).
[edit] It looks like the 20 mile stretch on 550 is a 70 limit although it's 2-lane and shoulder. I assume the rest is 45-55.

Well, most of us go between 50 and 60 but we sometimes go slower when we are trying to keep the group together, and we will usually wait for stragglers. On the way back it is a free for all since not everyone leaves at the same time. Usually, I will leave with the Lambretta Contingent, Craig, Tony, Tim and Darren. We top out at 60 going home.
