The University of New Mexico Alternative Transportation Fair
Wednesday, April 22, 2009 EARTH DAY
There is No Cost to Participate!
The UNM Department of Parking & Transportation Services is hosting an Alternative Transportation Fair on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 (Earth Day) from 10 a.m. to 2p.m. as part of a University-wide Sustainability Expo. The fair will be located on the Cornell Mall in front of the Student Union Building at UNM. There is no cost to participate.
This will be an opportunity for any group or vendor interested in promoting alternative transportation and sustainability to present information to UNM students, faculty and staff. For our purposes, “Alternative Transportation” covers everything from walking to public transit, biking, motor scooters and motorcycles, carpooling, vanpooling, and skateboarding.
Whether your organization is interested in cutting commuter costs, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, sustainability, improved health or recreation, we invite any participation that promotes anything other than single-occupancy vehicle commuting.
The Alternative Transportation Fair promises to be a great exposition. We hope you will join us for this special Earth Day event!
