Topics of discussion were as follows:
1. Club membership applications were made available and membership guidelines were put forth:
Each member shall make a one time donation $20+ for official D.C.S.C. membership that will include club patch, buttons, stickers and cards; as well as an individual member bio and a link to personal web-site on the club site. All official members are asked to join the forum if they have computer access. Official Membership also includes access to member-only events like rides, parties, and clinics. There were no questions about this topic.
2. The upcoming ride was discussed and the route was planned (thanks, C. E.!)
3. Scooter nights by R&S were discussed and member attendance was encouraged. The next one will be on April 11 and more about this topic will be posted as we get closer to this date.
4. Joint events with other clubs in the area were discussed and members/officers will look into more interaction with the Pharaohs and Lambretta club, as well as rallies both here and in other states.
5. Preliminary plans for a member potluck picnic sometime in April were made, and a call for suggestions as to place and exact date have been put forth.
6. The Dias De Los Muertes parade was discussed and a call for help committees was put forth. We will be having our rally around this event at the end of October and beginning of November. Volunteers are needed with planning this event.
7. The meeting was then opened to general discussion. A call was put forth to generate ride suggestion from members. It has been requested that ideas are posted at least one or two weeks in advance (for small, impromptu rides) and that all suggestions for major rides will be discussed at meetings. Several charity ideas were mentioned and will be considered in planning future events. Also, it was decided that the club shall participate in all possible parades. Applications and donations were collected and the meeting was closed.
