Hello, Pardon me if I put this in the wrong place. I have not been able to join a ride yet because I am usually out of town. For an "Open" ride, I know I can take my Yamaha Zuma but I don't see any mention of age limits. I have a 14yr old that has his own motorcycle and my 6yr old rides with me. I see that the rides often end at alcohol serving establisments which would obviously not be appropriate for children. I don't drink so it is not a problem for me. I am just interested in the riding. I do understand if this is just an adult thing. Thanks for your time. Keith

Dig it, I've got some other surprises for the ride that I will unveil after I talk to Richard.
Also, I'd like to see everyone wear a helmet, and gloves, and anything else to protect your soft little body from the cold, hard ground. It looks nice when your flying over it like an angel on a scooter, but if you fall, it won't be in a field of grass.
So if you don't have a helmet, go into Scooter Roo and buy one, we need to give them the business, and they are so gracious to us, and they have a whole wall full of helmets, so buy one. Buy two, so you'll always be fashionable.
And remember, while it is very good to be safe, it is even better to look marvelous, in fact, it is better to look marvelous than it is to feel good, and with a new helmet, from Scooteroo, darling, you look marvelous!
Safety first, but fashion fabulous.

In reply to Batman2696, we would love to have you and your children join us for the ride. This ride on Sunday is very family-friendly and I think that the wider a range of ages we have riding with us the better. The thing that I think is shaping up to be one of the coolest things about this club is that we are getting members from all walks of life! I love getting to know so many different people, and I can't wait to meet more. In regards to C.E.'s post about safety gear, I can tell you all right now that if Richard hadn't been wearing a helmet on Sunday I might not have a husband today. Seriously, I will bring the helmet to the meet and greet on Sunday and I think it will drive home the idea that good gear can save your life. I do believe in freedom of choice where gear is concerned (especially since our state law upholds the right to chose) but I do think some choices are simply smarter than others. Have a GREAT day, everyone, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday.

Hi Rayna, I've heard that the weather might be quite iffy this weekend w/ chances of T-storms. Perhaps we might make a back-up plan rally point ( Coffee House w/ pictionary , dollar movie theater, or community center ) just in case.

It looks like I will be out this ride. I snapped a throttle cable and the part will have to be ordered. My scooter was already going into the shop as it was early next week so I'm just letting Scooter Roo handle it while they have the scoot apart anyway (as I would just hold them up if I kept it just to fix the throttle cable, they have other work to do on it).
I should be up an running again by the end of next week. I'll be missing the M&M's Motorcycle Spring Kickoff today, the ride tomorrow, and Bike Nights next Thursday is still unknown.
DCSC rides so hard our scoots fall apart!

Thanks to Jason for using Scooter Roo for his repairs and upgrades to his bike. You guys are dropping like flies! Hopefully, Miguel, Richard, and Jason will be able to four-wheel for the ride. Nobody say anything to Richard about two-wheeling it anyway, because he'll try it in the car

Miguel, if you end up going, could I hop a ride with you and Richard? If not, or you guys don't end up going, it's all good.
